NGAL (Neutrophil Gelatinase- Associated Lipocalin), Urine (LAB0020) Temporary Discontinuation

Effective July 16, 2026, the NGAL (Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin), Urine (LAB0020) test was temporarily discontinued.

Presently, there are concerns with NGAL, Urine quality control testing performance. Patients were not impacted. Nonetheless, out of an abundance of caution, we will not continue testing until this issue is resolved. The test will still be orderable in Epic; however, samples will be frozen until testing can resume. We will alert clinical teams when we are able to resume testing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
